Program for Specified Semiconductor Interest Subsidies

Project overview

Project period: FY2022-onwards, FY2022 budget: JPY 90 million

In accordance with Article 29, Item 2 of the amended 5G Promotion Act* enacted in December 2021, NEDO, in support of efforts to create robust supply chains for semiconductors, will provide interest subsidies to financial institutions making loans to certified companies for the development of facilities for manufacturing specified types of advanced semiconductors. Under this program, NEDO provides interest subsidies to lending institutions after the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has approved financing plans for the provision of loans to said companies.
