Development and Demonstration of a Situation Awareness System Using Satellites to Contribute to Efficient Supply Chain Modification
Project overview
This project aims to promote the development of innovative ideas and systems for using satellite data to monitor supply chain conditions as well as evaluation methods to assess their usefulness and reliability. In support of this aim, NEDO is conducting the Supply Chain Data Challenge where prize money is awarded to promising proposals for innovative ideas and systems. Ideas and systems developed under this project will be widely disseminated in an effort to more effectively monitor supply chain conditions.
Creation of Environment to Develop Ideas and Systems
To support the development of innovative ideas and systems for using satellite data to monitor supply chain conditions, NEDO has identified target areas, collected information to develop screening criteria for proposals, and developed methods for evaluating usefulness and reliability.
NEDO Supply Chain Data Challenge
Consistent with the target areas identified during the Creation of Environment to Develop Ideas and Systems phase of this project, NEDO is conducting the Supply Chain Data Challenge where proposals are solicited for innovative ideas and systems and prize money is awarded to the most promising proposals.
Key points of Supply Chain Data Challenge:
1. Proposals may be submitted by companies, individuals, or groups.
2. R&D target areas have been identified under the categories of ideas and system development.
