Business Plan
We aim to deliver Manga, a key aspect of Japanese culture, to the world and expand the market. Currently, the translation process is a bottleneck, preventing ∼90% of Japanese manga from being published in English-speaking regions. This project seeks to address this issue by automating manga translation. Through this application, we will develop foundational technologies for machine translation of manga that allows readers to enjoy the content in non-Japanese languages.
Research Outline
- Achieve manga machine translation technology capable of producing translated works at a level that readers can enjoy in one language.
- Confirm the achievement of PSF by having the above technology adopted by at least two manga distribution services or by securing implementation agreements.
