Deep-Tech Startups Support Program
Business Plan
The rise in seawater temperatures caused by global boiling is leading to increased mortality and reduced growth rates in aquatic products, posing serious problems for aquaculture operators. To address this issue, the project aims to ensure a stable supply of high-performing aquatic products under high-temperature conditions by utilizing breeding technologies, including genome editing, to develop superior species adapted to climate change.
Research Outline
To develop superior species adapted to global boiling, the project will target multiple fish species and conduct performance evaluations—including growth and survival rates—through production trials. It will also develop scalable production technologies to support future commercialization of these improved species.
