Business Plan

This project aims to establish scalable manufacturing processes suitable for the mass production of a silkworm-derived oral vaccine ingredient for pigs.

The target product, developed using a proprietary recombinant protein expression system in silkworms, has been registered and launched in Vietnam as a “feed additive.”

To ensure stable commercial supply, the project focuses on building production readiness for scale-up. The resulting manufacturing technology is also intended for future application in domestic distribution within Japan.

Research Outline

This project aims to establish a mass production platform capable of enabling large-scale and stable supply of the target product, which demonstrated market demand during the PCA phase.

To achieve this objective, the following R&D components will be pursued:

1. Establishment of mass production base technology
2. Scale-up of production capacity through automation
3. Reduction of production costs
4. Implementation of quality control and regulatory compliance measures
