Home hemodialysis offers excellent patient quality of life and prognosis, but the barriers to implementation are high, and there are safety concerns, making it extremely unpopular. We are developing a system that is easy to implement as it does not require water supply and drainage piping, and is highly safe thanks to the use of various sensors. In this project, we will design and manufacture a prototype machine that is compatible with non-clinical and clinical trials, and prepare to obtain pharmaceutical approval in Japan, the United States, and Europe.

Research Outline

The project under grant aims to complete the production of a prototype so that the various tests (non-clinical and clinical trials) required for regulatory approval can be conducted in the next phase.

1. Creation of various files
2. Prototype production
3. Functionality verification using the prototype
4. Device testing in an in-house environment (including cybersecurity testing)
