Research theme

Development of an Automated Assisted Reproductive Technology System

Business Plan

Leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics technologies, the company aims to create a world where everyone has access to safe, high-quality fertility treatment. In particular, at assisted reproductive technology (ART) clinics, embryologists handle human sperm and eggs to perform fertilization and culture procedures.

These tasks face challenges including a shortage of embryologists and variability in clinical outcomes due to differences in operator skill level. The purpose of this project is to address these challenges through a work automation system that reduces the burden on medical professionals and improves treatment success rates (i.e., pregnancy rates).

Research Outline

The project will complete a prototype of the automation system and advance it toward practical implementation through performance verification and other evaluations. In parallel, R&D activities targeting global expansion will be initiated, and overseas business development activities will be pursued proactively.
