Dr. FUKUSHIMA Michi was appointed as Auditor of NEDO in June 2023.
Dr. Fukushima started her career as an associate professor at the Graduate School of Economics and Management, Tohoku University, in 1997 and was promoted to professor in March 2011. She was also a visiting scholar of IC2 Research Institute and the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin from 2000 to 2002, and a counselor of the Department of Industry and Economy, Miyagi Prefecture from 2004 to 2007.
She served as a Guest Researcher at the Institute for Future Initiatives of The University of Tokyo from 2022 to 2025. She currently serves as President of the Japan Academic Society for Ventures and Entrepreneurs.
Dr. Fukushima holds a Bachelor of Management from the Faculty of Economics, Tohoku University, Master's degrees in Commerce and Management from Hitotsubashi University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Management from Tohoku University.
