About NEDO and Washington D.C. Office

As Japan’s largest public R&D management organization, New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) promotes the research and development of energy, environmental and industrial technologies.  With approximately $1.0 bn annual budget besides $40.8 bn fund such as Green Innovation fund, Semiconductor fund, Supply security fund and Post 5G fund etc., NEDO’s activities range from robotics to machinery systems, electronics, materials, nanotech, energy conservation, renewable energy, smart community, environmental technologies and more.

At the Washington D.C. Office, we are working on promoting U.S.-Japan collaboration. Our principal roles are below.

  • General coordination regarding promotion of US/Japan collaborative projects
  • Information exchange and consultation on research and development of mentioned fields above
  • Public relations
