The Evolution of Project Management at NEDO

NEDO acts as an innovation accelerator by leveraging the capabilities of the private sector to achieve its dual missions: addressing energy and global environmental problems and enhancing industrial technology. Project management practices that can drive technological development results to commercialization and real-world social implementation are key to this process.

The scale of NEDO’s projects and the scope of its support have changed significantly over the past five years, and in order to provide higher added value, project management continues to evolve.

As NEDO enters the second half of its Fifth Five-Year Plan (FY2023–FY2027), the opportunity arose to compile the report “The Evolution of Project Management at NEDO.”

By advancing its project management practices, NEDO aims to provide seamless support from research and development to commercialization, and to establish itself as a truly unique and indispensable funding agency.
