NEDO Earns Certificate Extension for International Standard Certification for Information Security Management Systems

In order to strengthen its information security activities, NEDO has acquired certification under the international standard ISO/IEC 27001:2013 for information security management systems (ISMSs), starting with several NEDO departments in 2016.

NEDO has gradually expanded the scope of its ISMS coverage to other departments. NEDO was certified on December 6, 2018, after review by the ISMS certification organization JIC Quality Assurance Ltd., for all NEDO offices* based in Japan. On January 17, 2019, NEDO Executive Director Shoji Kukita attended a presentation ceremony to receive the certificate of registration. Going forward, NEDO aims to maintain and improve its information security system by continuously improving ISMS operations.
