14th ADEME-NEDO Seminar Held in Tokyo

On March 12, 2019, NEDO and the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME) jointly held the 14th ADEME-NEDO Seminar in Tokyo. Under the overarching theme of bioeconomy, the seminar was divided into two sessions, one on biochemical products and one on bioenergy, with lively discussions taking place between Japanese and French experts at the event.
During their opening remarks, NEDO Executive Director Kiyoshi Imai and ADEME Executive Director Francois Moisan noted the importance of diverse R&D activities in the bioeconomy field with respect to addressing global environmental issues and creating innovation, and expressed their hope for further progress in this field.
At the conclusion of the workshop, a business matchmaking event involving Japanese and French companies was conducted as a new initiative, and participants discussed each other's business and technology. The results of the joint workshop and business matching event are expected to promote collaboration between Japanese and French companies and lead to innovation in the future.
