NEDO Chairman Meets High-level Slovenian Government Officials and CEO of ELES

At NEDO’s head office on April 18, 2019, NEDO Chairman Hiroaki Ishizuka and NEDO Executive Director Takashi Omote met with a high-level Slovenian delegation composed of State Secretary Aleš Cantarutti, Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, State Secretary Bojan Kumer, Ministry of Infrastructure, and Aleksander Mervar, the CEO of ELES d.o.o., the Slovenian state-owned electricity transmission system operator.

During the meeting, both sides reconfirmed their determination to strengthen the cooperative partnership among project stakeholders with a view to ensuring the success of the NEDO smart community demonstration project taking place in Slovenia and further enhancing the adoption of smart community technologies in Europe. Acknowledging the project’s contribution to deepening relations between the two countries, both sides also agreed to continue fostering ties.
