NEDO and Technology Agency of the Czech Republic Hold Exchange Ceremony for Revised MOU to Implement Co-funding Program
June 27, 2019
On June 25, 2019, NEDO and the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TACR), represented by TACR Chairman Petr Konvalinka, held a ceremony at the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics, and Cybernetics in Prague to exchange a revised memorandum of understanding (MOU). The exchange ceremony was held at the Institute in conjunction with the Czech Japan Technology Partnership Conference 2019 organized by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
NEDO initially concluded an MOU with TACR related to information exchanges in June 2016 and since that time has been working with TACR on information exchanges and the exploration of joint research and development activities. With the conclusion of the revised MOU, however, the scope of cooperation has been expanded to include implementation of the NEDO co-funding program for international research and development. The MOU exchange ceremony was attended by distinguished guests including Mr. Petr Očko, Deputy Minister, Czech Republic Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Mr. Kaoru Shimazaki, Ambassador of Japan to the Czech Republic.
On the same day as the exchange ceremony, NEDO and TACR both released calls for proposals under the co-funding program on their respective websites and also introduced program details at the Czech Japan Technology Partnership Conference.
