NEDO Participates in COP25 Conference

From December 9-13, 2019, NEDO hosted four side events and joined one side event at the COP25 held in Madrid, Spain.

At its official side event and at a side event of the Japan Pavilion, the roadmap for "Industrial Heat Decarbonization" was presented, which was an outcome from the Innovation for Cool Earth Forum (ICEF). The presentation was followed by wide-range of discussions among experts and audience from various countries. Discussion topics included issues and solutions to accelerate innovation toward decarbonization.

In another side event at the Japan Pavilion, NEDO presented some of its projects that utilized Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) and the discussion took place on public-private collaboration type initiatives that address the climate change issues. Those initiatives included CEFIA(Cleaner Energy Future Initiative for ASEAN) led by METI, Japanese government, as well as other initiatives of international organizations.
