NEDO Participates in "Robot & Aerospace Festa Fukushima 2019"

November 28, 2019

On November 22-23, 2019, NEDO organized an exhibit at the "Robot & Aerospace Festa Fukushima 2019" event held at the Big Palette Fukushima exhibition hall in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture. In addition, on November 22, NEDO organized an information session to introduce its drone-related R&D projects.

Since fiscal year 2017, NEDO has been conducting R&D to accelerate the implementation of drones systems/services into the society. At its exhibition booth and information session, NEDO introduced R&D activities such as testing to make possible the interoperability through APIs*1 for drone operators both in Japan and overseas, and testing of multiple drones flying in the same airspace at the Fukushima Robot Test Field. In addition, drones and other objects related to these activities were exhibited at the NEDO booth.

On November 22, the Vice Governor of Fukushima Prefecture, Mr. Takatoshi Ide, visited the NEDO booth where he and many other visitors learned about NEDO's state-of the-art R&D activities related to the implementation of drones in society.
