Under its Development of Integrated Core Technologies for Next-Generation AI and Robots project, NEDO is carrying out R&D on innovative core technologies which are not simply extensions of existing AI and robotics technologies and is promoting the social implementation of AI technologies. In addition, NEDO is promoting R&D and demonstrations under its Realization of Smart Society by Applying Artificial Intelligence Technologies project that make use of R&D infrastructure and technologies developed to date for AI modules and data acquisition sensors. The symposium focused on the social implementation of AI aimed at enhancing industrial competitiveness by creating new demand for AI applications and integrating AI into existing fields. In addition to presentations made by experts in the AI field, the symposium provided a venue for an exchange of views between speakers and participants.
