NEDO Chairman Meets with Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan

On July 8, 2019, NEDO Chairman Hiroaki Ishizuka met with H.E. Elyor Ganiev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on the occasion of Mr. Ganiev's visit to Japan.

For more than 15 years, NEDO and Uzbekistan have been engaged in cooperative research and demonstration projects to improve energy efficiency. At this meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ganiev expressed his appreciation for these cooperative projects in Uzbekistan and welcomed their contribution toward deepening the relationship between Uzbekistan and Japan. In addition, senior officials from the relevant ministries and agencies who attended the meeting engaged in a vigorous exchange of views on the shared goal of improving energy efficiency.
