NEDO President OIKAWA Gives Closing Remarks at 3rd RD20 (Research and Development 20 for Clean Energy Technologies) Conference

On October 8, 2021, NEDO President OIKAWA Hiroshi gave closing remarks at the Leaders’ Session of the 3rd RD20 meeting (Research and Development 20 for Clean Energy Technologies), an international conference organized by AIST. NEDO participated as one of the co-host organizations of the conference.

The aim of the RD20 conference is to promote innovation and strengthen international R&D collaboration among the leading research institutes of the G20 countries, who are developing the world’s most advanced technologies to realize a zero-carbon society. The Technical Session of the conference focused on three themes: Decarbonization by Sectors, Social Acceptance of Hydrogen, and Next Generation Energy Management System. At the Leaders’ Session, the leaders of all participating organizations discussed and agreed on global collaboration at a high level to achieve a zero-carbon society.

In his closing remarks, Mr. OIKAWA introduced NEDO’s main activities to realize a hydrogen society and highlighted that NEDO will continue contributing to create innovation through international collaboration.
