NEDO Hosts Briefing on Activities in 2021 to Realize Goal 4 of Moonshot R&D Program

On February 3, 2022, NEDO hosted a virtual briefing to publicize the outcomes of projects undertaken during 2021 to realize Goal 4 of the Moonshot Research and Development Program. Following opening remarks by NEDO Chairman ISHIZUKA Hiroaki, special guest KOBAYASHI Takayuki, Minister of State for Science and Technology Policy, Japan Cabinet Office, also delivered remarks in a video message.

During briefing sessions held simultaneously in three venues, thirteen project managers and sixty-seven researchers from universities, companies, and other organizations, reported on the status of research activities and outcomes realized under these projects. In addition, Dr. YAMAJI Kenji, Goal 4 Program Director, engaged in a special discussion event with MURAKI Kazumi, Ambassador to the Moonshot program, who is a young researcher working on direct air capture (DAC) technology.
