Fifth Hydrogen Energy Ministerial Meeting Held in Tokyo

On September 26, 2022, NEDO and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), in cooperation with the International Energy Agency (IEA), held the Fifth Hydrogen Ministerial Meeting as part of Tokyo GX Week.

As a result of the meeting, the chair released a summary report that calls for the acceleration and expansion of progress on the Tokyo Statement and Global Action Agenda and includes an additional goal of producing at least 90 million tons of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen by 2030.
