NEDO President Oikawa Participates in Japan-Saudi Energy Ministerial Dialogue and Saudi-Japan Vision 2030 Business Forum

On December 25-26, 2022, NEDO President OIKAWA Hiroshi participated in the Japan-Saudi Energy Ministerial Dialogue and the Saudi-Japan Vision 2030 Business Forum held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Japan-Saudi Energy Ministerial Dialogue took place between Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) NISHIMURA Yasutoshi and H.R.H. Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of Energy, Saudi Arabia. During the Dialogue, the two ministers explored opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of energy.

The Saudi-Japan Vision 2030 Business Forum was held in support of the overall Saudi-Japan Vision 2030 framework for bilateral cooperation between Japan and Saudi Arabia. NEDO President Oikawa participated in the Business Forum session titled “Future Clean Energy, The Path to Net Zero Emissions” where he provided a presentation on NEDO activities related to the development of hydrogen energy technologies and international demonstration projects.

NEDO will continue to support cooperation between Japan and Saudi Arabia through international demonstration projects for the development of advanced energy technologies.
