July 8, 2025
Members of NEDO and Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC), a public financial institution under India’s Ministry of Power, gathered to witness operations commence on a micro substation with a power voltage transformer on June 18. The demonstration project is being implemented by subsidized company Nissin Electric Co., Ltd. and local partner TATA Power-Delhi Distribution Limited (TATA Power-DDL). The project facility is located at a substation on the outskirts of Delhi owned by TATA Power-DDL. It will directly convert extra high voltage power from transmission lines to low voltage power for the surrounding area. The project’s goals are to check the reliability and quality of the power supply and establish technology to provide stable electricity in underdeveloped or off-grid areas.
The ceremony was attended by Ms. Parminder Chopra, Chairman and Managing Director of PFC, Mr. Dwijadas Basak, CEO of TATA Power-DDL, Mr. Gajanan S.
