NEDO and Romanian Ministry of Energy Conclude Memorandum of Understanding to Promote Innovation in Technological Development

On September 26, NEDO and the Romanian Ministry of Energy concluded a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote cooperation aimed at fostering innovation in applied research and technological development. The MOU will create opportunities for collaborative projects by allowing the exchange of information in areas of mutual interest.
The second edition of the Romania-Japan Energy Forum co-hosted by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and NEDO was held on the same day. Prior to the forum, Dr. IIMURA Akiko, Executive Director of NEDO (title as of September 26, 2025), had a meeting with Dr. Cristian Silviu BUȘOI, Secretary of State of the Romanian Ministry of Energy and signatory to the MOU. She expressed her expectations for future cooperation between the two countries as innovation partners.
The signed MOU was formally unveiled by Dr. IIMURA and Dr. BUȘOI during the forum, and NEDO’s activities and international collaboration programs were presented. There are high expectations for further joint projects between Japan and Romania.
