Discussions Held with King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE)

On October 6, 2025, Mr. MATSUMOTO Shintaro, Executive Director of NEDO, welcomed a delegation from the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE), a Saudi Arabian government research institution specializing in renewable energy and nuclear power. This delegation was led by Dr. Saeed Al-Zahrani, HH CEO Advisor, and Eng. Hamad Mudij, Head of Renewable Energy Technology Development & Innovation Sector.
During their visit, NEDO and K.A.CARE exchanged views on their respective initiatives and areas of focus.
NEDO provided an overview of its latest activities in the field of renewable energy, while K.A.CARE introduced its organizational structure and strategic priorities.
The discussions highlighted mutual interests and paved the way for continued collaboration in addressing energy-related challenges.
Both sides agreed to their commitment to exploring future opportunities for cooperation between Japan and Saudi Arabia in the energy sector.
