June 5, 2026

Mr. YOKOSHIMA Naohiko, President of NEDO, visited Singapore from May 28 to 29 and exchanged views with members of key government agencies.

The visit included separate meetings with the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), and Enterprise Singapore. The discussions focused on the deployment of new energy technologies such as ammonia, hydrogen, and SAF, support for startups, and opportunities for future collaboration.

Representatives from NEDO also visited ITOCHU Singapore Pte Ltd. and the Singapore branch of AI Medical Service Inc. to view the progress of their R&D and assess the commercialization prospects of the NEDO-supported projects they are implementing.

Singapore is a crucial gateway for the deployment of Japanese technologies in Southeast Asia and NEDO will continue to play an active role there through collaboration with government agencies and organizations.
