NEDO Chairman SAITO Delivers Special Remarks at VerdeXchange 2026

NEDO participated in VerdeXchange 2026, an international conference on environment and energy that took place in Los Angeles, California, USA from May 31 to June 3. Mr. SAITO Tamotsu, Chairman of NEDO, delivered special remarks showcasing NEDO’s initiatives in hydrogen and ammonia, renewable energy, and demonstration projects in California. During the hydrogen and ammonia session, Dr. HARA Daishu, Senior Director of NEDO’s Hydrogen and Ammonia Department, explained the status of projects in Japan and discussed hydrogen initiatives with stakeholders from Japan and the United States.

Mr. SAITO met with Japanese and American stakeholders from industry, academia, and government at a roundtable hosted by the Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles, and exchanged views on strengthening Japan–U.S. cooperation at the annual meeting of the Japan Hydrogen Forum (JH2F) with Japanese companies engaged in hydrogen-related initiatives in the United States.
