NEDO was Awarded the “nano tech Grand Award 2026”

NEDO exhibited at “nano tech 2026 The 25th International Nanotechnology Exhibition & Conference” held at Tokyo Big Sight from January 28 to January 30, 2026, and was awarded the “nano tech Grand Award 2026.”

The nano tech AWARD has been presented annually for more than 20 years since 2002 to the most outstanding exhibitor whose products or technologies demonstrate high levels of innovation, practicality, and business potential, and are expected to make significant contributions to society and industry.

In this year’s selection, NEDO was highly evaluated for presenting a clear roadmap for the development and social implementation of a broad range of new nanotechnology-based innovations. The award was given in recognition of not only NEDO itself, but also all companies and organizations participating in NEDO projects.

At the award ceremony held on January 30, 2026, Mr. KANEKO Kazuo, Director General of NEDO’s Biotechnology and Materials Department, attended the ceremony and received a commemorative trophy from Dr. KAWAI Tomoji, Chair of the nano tech Executive Committee.

Mr. Kaneko expressed his gratitude, stating that the award was made possible not only by NEDO, but also by the contributions of the companies, universities, and public research institutions participating in NEDO projects.

During the three-day exhibition, under the main theme “Advanced Materials and Technologies Weaving the Future,” NEDO showcased booth exhibits introducing material development projects and their achievements related to six key fields promoted by NEDO.

Throughout the event, many visitors actively exchanged views with exhibiting companies and organizations at the NEDO booth, demonstrating strong interest in NEDO’s initiatives and exhibited content.
