NEDO is conducting a demonstration project on a system that produces raw materials for ethanol and high-value chemical products from surplus bagasse in Thailand. This video introduces the forward-looking biomass project in Thailand.

The Asian Representative Office in Bangkok, the Department of Industrial Promotion (DIP) of Ministry of Industry, the Federation of Thai Industries (F.T.I), and the Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI) jointly organized a seminar on “Thailand's E-Logistics Policy & Emerging Trends: Journey to the Future”, through the online Zoom Webinars in total 4 sessions from November to December.

A Survey on Opportunities in Thailand's e-Logistics and Supply Chain Market (FY2019)

Thailand plays an important role in logistics in Mekong region. On the other hand, it is said that logistics costs are higher compared with neighboring countries. Under the National Economic and Social Development Plan (2017-2021), Thailand aims to cut the country’s logistics costs to 12% of GDP by 2021. Modal shift of transportation to railway, integration of ICT system and e-logistics are in the limelight gradually. Under corporation with THAI NICHI Institute, the survey report was summarized by collecting data from the both public and logistics related companies concerned with situation of supply chain and the introduction of new technology that suit the current situation.

A Study of Biomass Potential for Energy Use in Indonesia (FY2019)

Indonesian government aims to raise the renewable energy ratio to 23% by 2025. Indonesia is the largest palm oil cultivation country. Therefore, biomass has much potential in term of renewable energy. Biodiesel fuel has been widely used and exploitation of unused biomass waste is getting much attention. This report was summarized in terms of biomass resource assessment and the application of energy technology for utilizing it.
